HARTLEPOOL residents are being urged to complete a short survey to help shape the future of pharmacy services in the town.

The survey, which runs until Sunday 17 September, offers residents the chance to voice their opinions and share their experiences of accessing pharmacy services in Hartlepool.

L-R: Councillor Christopher Akers-Belcher (Leader of Hartlepool Borough Council), Sam Gustard (Stop Smoking Facilitator, North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust), Carole Johnson (Head of Health Improvement at Hartlepool Borough Council), Leanne Watson (Stop Smoking Facilitator, North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust), and Martyn Willmore (Performance Improvement Delivery Manager at Fresh).

The results of the survey will inform the Joint Health and Wellbeing Board’s “Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment” report, which will outline what services are currently available, how easily they are accessed, and highlight suggested improvements.

Councillor Christopher Akers-Belcher, Chair of Hartlepool Borough Council’s Health and Wellbeing Board and Leader of the Council, said: “Feedback from local people is very important to us, and we urge everyone who has accessed pharmacy services or is likely to in future to fill in this survey.

“Pharmacies within communities are vitally important, and we are committed to ensuring residents have access to the best pharmacy services available. To do this, we need to build a clear picture of how effective our town’s services are by listening to those who have accessed them firsthand.

“I hope that many do take the opportunity to spend a few minutes to complete the survey.”

Complete the questionnaire by visiting www.hartlepool.gov.uk/pharmacy-survey before the deadline of Sunday 17 September.
