Permits are valid during the following times: Monday to Saturday from 8am to 8pm**
-
Open Visitor Permits must be clearly displayed and visible in the permit holder provided for inspection by the Civil Enforcement Officer
-
Permits are only valid in the parking bay or street of issue. If no space is available parking will be permitted in the nearest adjacent street. The permits will not be valid in any other controlled zone.
-
Permits are not transferable.
-
Visitor and Open permits are valid only when used by individuals visiting the specific address for which they were issued. The permit is valid solely for the duration of the visit, and a Penalty Charge Notice may be issued if the driver or permit holder is not present at the relevant property.
-
Concessionary permits are issued to essential workers who need to visit residents within the controlled parking zone. These permits are generally considered valid for up to two hours. If a longer stay is required, please contact 01429 523100. If a Penalty Charge Notice is issued for a stay exceeding this period, written confirmation from a line manager will be required. The permit may only be used by the permit holder when visiting a resident in connection with the business purpose for which the permit was issued.
-
Reported cases of misuse of the permit could result in the cancellation/non-renewal of further requests to residents, organisations or individuals.
-
Non-compliance of the Traffic Regulation Order will result in the issue of a Penalty Charge Notice by Civil Enforcement Officers under the jurisdiction of the Traffic Management Act 2004. This legislation places the responsibility for compliance of any restrictions on the registered keeper of the vehicle. It is therefore the owner of the vehicle who would be directly responsible for any Penalty Charge Notice issued, irrespective of whether they were responsible for the contravention or not.
**Excluding Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day. Enforcement will take place on all other public holidays.
