Ward Jackson Park

Location: Elwick Road, Hartlepool, TS24 7LE

Ward Jackson Park is listed in the National Register of Historic Parks and Gardens for its Victorian and Edwardian features, including a fountain, bandstand, lodge and clock tower.

The park has received the Green Flag Award for its heritage, maintenance, environmental management, and safety.

Facilities include:

  • a bowling green
  • a lake for model boating and fishing
  • parking on Park Avenue (opposite the park)

Rossmere Park

Location: Rossmere Way, Hartlepool, TS25 5EF

Located in a residential area, Rossmere Park features open grassed areas, trees, flower beds, and a lake with wooden platforms for pond dipping and fishing.

The playground was refurbished in 2019 and includes a SUTU interactive ball wall with LED panels and vibration sensors for games and activities.

Burn Valley Gardens

Location: Blakelock Gardens, Hartlepool, TS25 5QP

Burn Valley is split into two areas by Brinkburn Road. It offers a scenic walk from the town centre through to Family Wood and on to Summerhill Country Park.

Facilities include:

  • a bowling pavilion with three greens
  • a play area
  • a picnic area
  • a woodland area

Seaton Park is close to the seafront in Seaton Carew, a coastal village in the south-east of Hartlepool.
