Hartlepool has been successful in securing up to £20 million over the next ten years through the government’s Plan for Neighbourhoods, formerly the Long-Term Plan for Towns.
The Plan for Neighbourhoods will deliver on local people’s priorities across three strategic objectives for the programme:
building thriving places
strengthening communities
empowering people
This will empower communities to identify and deliver projects that will improve their local areas across Hartlepool.
Hartlepool Board
At the heart of the Plan for Neighbourhoods is the Hartlepool Board. This group brings together local residents, businesses, strategic partners, and others with a strong connection to the town.
Led by the board, the programme aims to improve Hartlepool’s physical spaces and social infrastructure.
The goal is to create real, positive changes in the everyday lives of local people.
Working with the community, the board will shape a shared vision for the future. This will be set out in a 10-Year Regeneration Plan, supported by a detailed 4-Year Investment Plan.
