Warm Homes Hartlepool

Warm Homes Hartlepool is funded by the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero under the Warm Homes:Local Grant scheme.

Eligible households could receive free energy efficiency improvements, with measures including solar panels, solar battery storage, loft insulation, cavity wall insulation, solid wall insulation, double glazing (if replacing single-glazed windows), smart heating controls and low carbon technologies such as air source heat pumps and high retention storage heaters.

Who can apply

In order to be considered for this funding:

• The property should have an energy performance (EPC) rating of D-G; you can check this on the GOV.UK website. For privately rented properties, the EPC rating must be D or E.
• The combined gross annual household income for all occupants over the age of 18 should be below £36,000, alternatively someone in the household must be in receipt of at least one of the following means-tested benefits - Housing Benefit, income-based JSA, income-related ESA, Income Support, Pension Credit (savings and guarantee) and Universal Credit..
• Live in an eligible postcode area (classed as 'deprived' by the government). If qualifying under postcode, the Council will consider a household income threshold (£36,000) – or the equivalised ‘After Housing Costs’, only mortgage or rent costs are considered as housing costs.

Please note, due to a high volume of interest not all applications will be successful. Low energy performance rating and low-income households will be prioritised.
