What goes where?
- grey bin - for recyclable materials like paper, cardboard, plastics, and tins
- green bin - for non-recyclable household waste
- brown bin - for garden waste (if subscribed)
- food waste caddies (small for inside your home, larger one for outside) - for household food waste
- HWRC:- for items not accepted in household bins (e.g. electricals, bulky waste)
Food waste collections
As part of the Government's plan to improve recycling rates and reduce greenhouse gas emissions, local authorities are now required to collect household food waste on a weekly basis. Find out more on our Food Waste Collections page.
