When is My Next Collection

Please note that bank holiday Mondays DO NOT affect refuse and recycling collections. The Borough Council operates a Tuesday-Friday collection regime each week, so bank holiday Mondays will have no effect and it will be business as usual for the rest of the week.  Collections which fall on a bank holiday with the exception of Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day will not be effected.  Any changes will be communicated to residents. 

Presenting Your Bin

Residents are required to place bins out at the kerbside by 7.30am on the day of collection, but no earlier than 7.00pm the night before. Please return your bin as soon as possible after collection and always by the end of the day.

Garden Waste Collections (Brown Bins) for residents

Brown bin collections are seasonal and chargeable.  For more information visit https://www.hartlepool.gov.uk/garden-waste-collections. Garden waste of up to 10 bags can be disposed of at the Household Waste Recycling Centre in Burn Road by booking an appointment in advance at www.hartlepool.gov.uk/HWRCbookings or by calling Customer Services on (01429) 523333 on Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 5pm or Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm or why not have a go at composting.
