The Domestic Abuse Act 2021 requires all local authorities to:
- appoint a Domestic Abuse Local Partnership Board
- carry out a Needs Assessment
- publish a Domestic Abuse Strategy
Local Partnership Board
Hartlepool’s Domestic Abuse Local Partnership Board can include representatives from:
- the local authority
- health services
- police
- voluntary organisations
- services that represent the voices of victims and children
The board oversees how we meet our legal duties and deliver support to those affected by domestic abuse.
Needs Assessment and Strategy
We have completed a full Needs Assessment and developed a Domestic Abuse Strategy for 2021–2025. These documents help us understand local needs and plan effective support services.
