What needs are unmet?
Strategic Issue 1
There is a need to address the Under 18 birth rate in the Borough which is higher than the national average and has been higher than the regional average since 2014. The rate of under 16 conceptions is increasing.
Strategic Issue 2
There is a need to improve access to STI services particularly in areas of deprivation. STI rates are increasing and higher than the regional and national averages, current services may be under pressure due to recent outbreaks.
Strategic Issue 3
There is a need for integration between GP and SRH services as contraceptive prescription varies between both. There is a need for collaborative working to improve all rates of contraceptive prescription alongside All Our Health Framework.
