Apply for free school meals
You can apply to the Council for free school meals if you receive a qualifying income type or benefit and your child is:
- nursery school age, attends a school nursery and attends a morning and afternoon session on the same day.
- 4 - 16 years of age and attend full-time school, or
- 16 -19 years old and attends Catcote Academy
(if your child attends a further education college, they should contact the college to apply for free school meals)
And your child attends one of the following schools:

Apply for free school meals online
If you are applying for free school meals and you receive support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999, you must provide your NASS number and proof that you receive this support. This can be emailed to benefits@hartlepool.gov.uk
Not all schools / academies in Hartlepool are signed up to the free school meals service offered by the Council.
If your child attends one of the schools listed below, you need to contact the school to apply for free school meals.
