Processing your application for free school meals
Once we receive your application form, we will check your entitlement using the Department For Education checking service. We will send you a letter or email to tell you if your child is entitled to free school meals or not. If your child is entitled to free school meals we will also notify their school.
Once free school meals are awarded, you will need to tell us about changes in your circumstance such as
- if you change address
- if your child changes school
- if your child moves address and no longer lives with you
