Appointment of Director of Public Health

The Appointments Panel will make this appointment. The Panel will also include:

  • an External Health Professional Assessor;
  • a Local Authority Chief Executive (or nominee);
  • a Senior Local NHS Representative; and
  • an Office for Health Improvement and Disparities Regional Director (or nominee).

In relation to the appointment of the Director of Public Health, the designation of Director of Public Health must be agreed by Office for Health Improvement and Disparities and by Full Council.
