Local plan

We adopted our Local Plan on 22 May 2018, following receipt of the Inspector’s Final Report. The Local plan covers the period from 1 April 2016 to 31 March 2031 and forms part of the Development Plan for the Borough.

The Local Plan is supported by a Policies Map, which includes an Inserts Map to show detailed planning designations. 

Land use policy supporting documents

• the Statement of Community Involvement (SCI) was adopted on 12 September 2019. This sets out how we engage with the public on planning matters.
• the Local Development Scheme (December 2017) sets out the timetable for planning policy documents.
• the Local Plan consultation statement -  Regulation 22 consultation statement March 2017 
• the Combined Consultation Statement - July 2016
• the 5-Year Housing Land Supply Review outlines the housing land supply position for 2024 to 2029.
