Minerals and waste planning
The five Tees Valley local authorities jointly prepared Minerals and Waste Development Plan Documents (DPDs). These documents set out planning policies and site allocations for minerals and waste developments until 2026. The DPD was formally adopted on 15 September 2011.

Hartlepool Nuclear Power Station
We submitted a formal response to the Department of Energy & Climate Change supporting further investigation into the nomination of a site for a new nuclear power station in Hartlepool as part of the government’s draft nuclear national policy.
