Hartlepool celebrates civic life with a special church service

The Mayor of Hartlepool’s Civic and Community Celebration Service took place in the church of St John Vianney in King Oswy Drive on Sunday 31st January at 6.30pm, following which light refreshments were served.

The hour-long service was led by Father Nick Jennings – the Civic Chaplain and Parish Priest of St John Vianney.

Among those present were volunteers from the Mayor’s two chosen charities for 2015/16 - Hartlepool Special Needs Support Group and Diabetes UK – and representatives of other North-East councils.
