Marriage and civil partnership fees
Fees are subject to annual review; the below charges are applicable from 28 May 2024 - 31 March 2025

Prices include a non-refundable booking fee, the registrars' attendance and one certificate.
The room hire charge is included in the fee for the Civic Suite and Middlegate room. It is not included for other venues, please contact the venue directly for information on their hire charges.
Please note Civic Suite ceremonies are only available on Thursday afternoons and Friday mornings.
*Bank holiday fee is applicable for Easter Sunday, also applies to Christmas Day and Boxing Day if they fall on a weekend.
Civil partnership registration fee
Civil partnerships are registered by signing the civil partnership document, with no words required to be spoken. Couples can choose to have a ceremony but it is not required.
If a couple choose to have a ceremony the above ceremony fee applies.
If a couple choose not to have a ceremony the signing of the document will take place in the Civic Suite, Hartlepool Register Office. The fee is £68.50 which includes a non-refundable booking fee, the registrar's attendance and one certificate.
Please note the Civic Suite is only available on Thursday afternoons and Friday mornings.
