Marriage and civil partnership fees

Fees apply to ceremonies taking place between 1 April 2026 and 31 March 2027. All fees include a non-refundable booking fee, registrars’ attendance, and one certificate.

Note:

  • Civic Suite ceremonies are only available on Thursday afternoons and Friday mornings.
  • room hire is included for the Civic Suite and Middlegate Room.
  • for other venues, contact the venue directly for room hire charges.
  • bank holiday fees apply to Easter Sunday, Christmas Day, and Boxing Day (if they fall on a weekend).

Civil partnership registration (no ceremony)

If you choose not to have a ceremony, the signing of the civil partnership document will take place in the Civic Suite.

  • fee: £68.50 (£74.50 from 6 April 2026)
  • includes registrar attendance, one certificate, and booking fee
  • available Thursday afternoons and Friday mornings only

If you choose to have a ceremony, the standard ceremony fees apply.
