Communications and Marketing
The Communications and Marketing team provides information to the media and offers advice and support to Councillors and Council staff. The team also writes and produces Hartbeat - Hartlepool's Community Magazine - as well as Newsline, the Council's staff newsletter.
Hartlepool Council has a Media Protocol which outlines what is expected of officers and councillors when dealing with the media. It also describes what the council expects from the media and includes an out of hours emergency contact number.
The Communications and Marketing team receives a wide range of incoming media requests on a daily basis and responds to these in a timely manner by liaising with the appropriate officers/councillors, depending on the nature of the request.
