Joint Strategic Needs Assessment

Introduction

This website is important to you if you live or work in Hartlepool and care about health, quality of life and health and social care services for you, your family, friends and community. It will help to shape how we work with local people to secure a healthier future for us all. This is not about visiting your doctor or the local hospital or the services they provide for you. This website is about other factors which affect your health and well-being.

This Joint Strategic Needs Assessment (JSNA) summarises the efforts of many people through a range of different mechanisms to identify, define, and address the wider health and wellbeing needs of the people of Hartlepool. The work we do in partnership is guided by plans, strategies, and policies that have been developed after needs assessment, data analysis and research.

The purpose of this Joint Strategic Needs Assessment is to bring together in one place the information that this rich resource provides, backed up by a technical compilation of statistics, data, and analysis. This will enable progress to be evaluated against public health outcomes, and will ensure the widest spectrum of partners to have the intelligence they need to ensure commissioning strategies work together for better provision of services for those areas of greatest need.

I hope you will find this resource useful.
