Gambling Premises Licence
Background
Where an individual or company proposes to offer gambling for which an operating licence is required, and which is premises based, that individual or company will also need to apply to the Licensing Authority for a premises licence.
A Premises Licence can authorise the provision of facilities on:
- Casino Premises
- Bingo Premises
- Betting Premises (including tracks and premises used by betting intermediaries)
- Amusement Arcades (Gaming/Entertainment Centre with category C & D machines)
The Act does not permit premises to be licensed for more than one of the above activities (except in the case of tracks).
