Tees Valley Nature Partnership

Local Nature Partnerships (LNPs) operate at a regional scale to conserve biodiversity and improve the range of socio-economic benefits and services provided by a healthy natural environment.

In July 2012 the government gave approval for the Tees Valley Nature Partnership (TVNP) to become a Local Nature Partnership.

The vision of the TVNP is, 'a rich and healthy natural environment in the Tees Valley to create a vibrant place for people to live, work and learn'.

The role of an LNP includes working with Local Authorities to identify areas for habitat creation or recreation across Local Authority boundaries.
