School Performance Data
As part of the school self review process, schools are required to monitor and evaluate pupil and school progress. The School Performance Data buyback will provide analysis, support and training in the development and use of individual pupil level, group, class, cohort, year group and school performance data. Analysis includes Foundation Stage Profile, Phonics, Key Stage 1, Key Stage 2, GCSE, post 16, deprivation and Tracking Pupil Progress in SIMS.
Details of the Service Offered
The Performance Management (Children) Section will provide support that includes the following:
- Provision of a helpdesk for data queries
- Termly analysis of attendance including vulnerable groups (3 per year)
- Provision of Pupil Premium data and support with maintaining accuracy
- Collation and transfer of Y6-7 transfer data and provision of Excel file to secondary schools
- Developing systems to monitor and evaluate pupil performance including developing pupil-tracking systems, cohort analysis i.e. SEN, Interventions, mobility, vulnerable groups, pupil premium, etc.
- Development and support of the Tracking Pupil Progress system for Assessment Without Levels within SIMS.net including marksheets and analysis tools (primary only)Support for Assessment Manager 7 within SIMS
- Comparative data to assist the process of annual review
- Data and statistical analysis e.g. analysis booklets (2 per year),
- Early Indicator booklets and pupil group analysis including comparator groups and benchmarking. Where this is not possible due to cancellation of test/exams we will work with schools to provide alternative analysis
- Developing individual pupil forecasting models based on prior attainment for pupil and school target setting
- Analysis of Foundation Stage Profile assessments and data anomalies
- Provision of school context and deprivation information
- Support in the use of ASP and interpretation of reports
- Provision of ad hoc bespoke analysis to support inspection (additional charges may apply)
- Enhanced support with statutory returns (maintained schools only)
- Provision of data through Perspective Lite and repository for storing reports
- Insight and Intelligence Data through Perspective Lite (visualising and verbalising your data)
Benefits to the School/Academy
The service will enable schools to identify strengths and weaknesses of pupils at an earlier stage in their development. The Performance Management (Children) Section has considerable experience in analysing and interpreting pupil performance. They can support and help schools in developing school based systems to assist in school self review processes and provide advice on new reporting requirements and analysis i.e. deprivation indicators, changes to levels/grades.
