Alleygating is a very simple crime preventative measure restricting access to back streets which involves erecting steel, self locking gates to the ends of alleyways and passages.
Anyone whose property is directly affected by the erection of alleygates is eligible for a key, which can be obtained from the Civic Centre. In order for us to be able to issue you with a key you must produce two forms of identity, which show the address where you live (examples would be utility bills, council tax bill, driving licence, passport, etc) and a £15 deposit, which will be refunded on return of the key.
