To report incidents of fly posting telephone the Customer Service Centre on 01429 523333.
Fly posting is the unauthorised placing of posters or stickers, usually advertising events. These are often placed on lampposts, railings, bins or on empty properties, without the permission of the owner of the property.
It is a criminal offence, incurring fines given out by a magistrate, or fixed penalty notices issued by the local authority or the Police.
If we encounter fly posting on Council property (including lampposts and railings) we will check if the posters have been authorised and, if not, we will remove them and follow up with enforcement action, if necessary.
