Commenting on an Appeal

In the case of a householder or minor commercial application, in the event of an appeal that proceeds by way of the expedited procedure, any representations make about the application will be passed to the Secretary of State (Planning Inspectorate) and there will be no opportunity to make further representations.

Comments on an appeal, where this is possible, should be made directly to the Planning Inspectorate within their required timescales. The Planning Inspectorate will pass a copy of the comments to the Council. You should be aware that if you do make any comments your name, address and comments will be available for public inspection on the internet and at Council offices, signatures, personal e-mail addresses/telephone numbers will not be displayed. If we receive comments about a planning appeal that are considered to be defamatory to another person, racist or homophobic these remarks will not be included in any reports or published on the Council's website.
