Promoting fitness for men aged 50+

A special event is taking place at a Hartlepool leisure centre tomorrow with the aim of getting more men aged 50+ active.

Mill House Leisure Centre will be hosting a free taster walking football session from 1.30-2.30pm on Wednesday (November 1) and men aged 50 and over are being urged to take part. No booking is required and anyone who is interested can just turn up on the day.

Walking football is a slow-paced version of the beautiful game which can help people to maintain an active lifestyle long after their time in competitive football has come to an end.

Wednesday’s taster session is also a chance for men to give their views on the future shape of sport and physical activity provision for men aged 50+ in Hartlepool.
