Awards celebrate learning in Hartlepool
Published Wednesday, 1st November 2017ADULTS and young people were celebrated recently at the annual Hartlepool Festival of Learning Awards.
The awards have two core aims – to celebrate learning and engage more people in learning.
The Hartlepool Festival of Learning Awards 2017 also showcased the wide-ranging impacts learning has on individuals, families, communities and employers.

The event was a joint celebration with Hartlepool Youth Employment Initiative, with the main sponsor being Hartlepool Adult Education.
The event was also supported by the European Social Fund, National Careers Service and Arcus Animations.

Councillor Kevin Cranney, Chair of Hartlepool Borough Council’s Regeneration Services Committee, said: “The awards evening was a great success with learners being nominated from a range of organisations.
“I’d like to say congratulations to everyone who was nominated – in particular those who won awards.
“These awards very clearly show that whatever your age or background it’s never too late to learn a new skill – not only can it massively improve your job prospects, it can also change your life.”
