Apply now for primary school places

Applications for school places can now be made by parents whose children are due to start primary school in Hartlepool next September.

The latest application round for entry into reception class opened on Monday (November 13) and information letters are currently being sent out via children’s nurseries.

Parents are reminded that attendance at a nursery at a particular primary school does not guarantee a place in the school as this does not form part of the admission criteria of any Hartlepool primary school.

The easiest way to apply for a place is online at www.hartlepool.gov.uk/schooladmissions but parents can fill in a paper form that is available from all primary schools. Alternatively, forms can be requested from Hartlepool Borough Council’s School Admissions Team at the Hartlepool Centre for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL) in Brierton Lane. The deadline for applications to be received – online or paper - is January 15 2018 and parents will learn the outcome of their applications on April 16 2018 - Primary National Offer Day. Any appeals will be heard during June/July 2018.
