Free fitness session for over 50s

A FREE event is taking place at a Hartlepool leisure centre on Tuesday (12 December) with the aim of getting more men aged 50+ active.

Headland Sports Centre will be hosting a free activity taster session from 1pm to 2pm, and men aged 50 and over are being urged to take part.

Activities on the day will include table tennis, pool, Boccia, Kurling and Kwik cricket among others. No booking is required and anyone who is interested can just turn up on the day.

The taster session is also a chance for men to share their views on the current provision of sport and physical activities on offer for men aged 50+ in Hartlepool, with aim to help shape new weekly activity sessions in 2018.

It is part of a project that is funded by Hartlepool and Stockton-on-Tees Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) and led by Volunteer Matters through Sporting Chance, in partnership with Hartlepool Borough Council’s Sport and Physical Activity Team.
