HARTLEPOOL residents will have another chance to learn about saving money and increasing income at a popular community event.

The second Food and Fuel Fair, ran by local organisations and individuals as part of Hartlepool’s £1,000,000 Challenge, will take place at Belle Vue Sports and Community Centre on Monday 26 February from 11am until 2pm.

Local residents will once again have the chance to browse stalls, bulk-buy price household essentials, learn more about cost-effective family cooking and much more.

A project spokesperson said: “The first Food and Fuel Fair in January was a huge success, projected to have generated over £1,000 worth of savings collectively for those who came.

“This time we would like to encourage even more residents to come along and find out how they could make significant savings, whether that’s by switching energy suppliers or accessing benefits they didn’t know they were entitled to.

“The fair will once again give members of the community access to a host of vital resources, support and information, helping to empower people to reduce the cost of living and increase their income.”
