THERE will be a chance to try your hand at a multi-sports event when the Hartlepool Tri-Life Aquathlon takes place later this month.

The event, a joint initiative between Hartlepool Borough Council and local triathlon club Tri Life Warriors, will take place at the club’s base at High Tunstall School on May 13th.

There is a junior race for 9-13-year-olds which costs £5 to enter, and an adult race for people aged 14+. The entry fee for this race is £7.50.

The junior race comprises a 100-metre pool swim and a 1km run, while the adult race involves a 200-metre pool swim and a 2.5km run.

Kay Stokes, Triathlon Activator with the Council, said: “If you like to swim and run then why not combine the two and give this event a go?

“It is intended to be a relaxed and friendly event and it is an opportunity for people to find out what it is like to take part in a multi-sports event.”

Registration for both events will be from 8.45-9.15am on the day, with the races starting at 9.15am. To enter or to get more information go to www.gethartlepoolactive.co.uk/triathlon
