Important breast cancer screening information for women aged 70-79

Published Tuesday, 8th May 2018

IF you're a woman aged 70-79 and you think you may not have received an invitation for your final breast cancer screening, here is some important information.

There has been an error in the national breast screening programme going back several years.

It means that some women aged 68-71 at the time may not have been called for their final breast cancer screening (mammogram). These women will now be aged 70-79.

For information about the arrangements being made to address this, please click here.

Women who think they might be affected are asked to please call the special helpline 0800 169 2692 first and only ask their GP if they need further information about their particular circumstances.
