Half term library fun for youngsters

There are lots of great activities lined up at Hartlepool’s libraries to keep youngsters happy this half term.

A bees and birds craft session, stories and rhymes, decorating a ceramic elephant money box and a sand art activity session are among the sessions.

All the events are free apart from where indicated. Some must be booked in advance by contacting the relevant library. Children under eight must be accompanied by an adult.

Tuesday 29 May - Parent and Toddler Group, including refreshments for parents and children, 10.30am-12 noon. £2.50 per child.

Tuesday 29 May - Decorate a ceramic elephant money box, for children aged 5+, 10.30am-11.30am. £4 per child. Booking essential.

Tuesday 29 May - Stories and rhymes for the under fives – Terry The Flying Turtle, 1.30pm-2.30pm.

Wednesday 30 May - Drop-in sand art activity morning, for any age, 10am-11.30am. £2 per child.

Wednesday 30 May - Baby Babble for the under twos, 1.30pm-2.30pm.

Thursday 31 May - Stories and rhymes for the under fives – The Gingerbread Man, 10.30am-11.30am.
