Work commencing to allow paddling pool to reopen

Published Thursday, 5th July 2018

Work to repair a popular paddling pool in Hartlepool will start today so that it can open for the school summer holidays.

It comes after the paddling pool at Hartlepool’s historic Headland area was damaged by the extreme weather experienced during February’s Beast from the East.

The Headland Block Sands paddling pool is due to open on Friday 20th July.

Councillor Stephen Akers-Belcher, Chair of Hartlepool Borough Council’s Neighbourhood Services Committee, said: “I’m delighted this repair work is commencing in time for the school summer holidays.

“The outdoor paddling pool at the Headland will be operational across the holiday period from July 20th until September 3rd which is great news for residents and visitors alike.
