If you’re searching for some unusual festive gift ideas, make tracks to the Christmas Craft Fayre in Hartlepool Art Gallery in Church Square on Saturday 1st December from 10am to 3pm.

Jewellery, art and illustrations, woodcarvings, cakes, flower arrangements and eco-friendly gifts are just some of the items which will be on sale, produced by local craftspeople. Entry to the gallery is free.

There will also be free traditional craft workshops for children aged 4-10 from 11am to 2pm. The children must be accompanied by an adult.

Christmas Craft Fayre

The Christmas Craft Fayre has been organised by Hartlepool Borough Council to mark Small Business Saturday – a national event which celebrates, and helps people discover, small businesses.

Councillor Kevin Cranney, Chair of the Council’s Regeneration Services Committee, said: “This is a great way for people of all ages to get into the festive spirit and solve some of their Christmas present problems.

“Small businesses are a cornerstone of the Hartlepool economy and the Council is committed to doing everything it can to help them flourish and grow, so we’re delighted to be part of Small Business Saturday.”
