Don’t be a victim of crime this summer

Published Monday, 29th July 2019

Hartlepool Community Safety Team’s Victim Services Officer Jane Munden is offering summertime crime prevention advice at a series of free drop-in events over the coming weeks.

“During the summer months people are in holiday mood but they need to remain vigilant to ensure that they don’t become a victim of crime,” says Jane.

“I’ll be offering advice on how to stay safe if you’re going abroad and how to secure your house while you’re away, plus lots of general tips if you’re staying at home.

“The drop-ins are also an opportunity to find out more about the Community Safety Team or to request a crime prevention assessment of your home or ask for victim support. All conversations are treated confidentially.”
