Have your say on our Council Plan

Published Thursday, 3rd October 2019

The dates have been announced for a number of drop-in sessions to enable people across Hartlepool to have their say on the development of a new Council Plan.

It comes as Hartlepool Borough Council is encouraging as many people as possible to take up the opportunity to help shape their plans for the future.

Three informal drop-in events are planned:

Tuesday 8th October – 12 noon to 2pm

Community Hub Central (York Road)

Thursday 10th October – 10:30am to 12 noon

Community Hub South (Wynyard Road)

Friday 11th October – 11:00am to 12:30pm

Community Hub North (Miers Avenue, West View)

Councillor Shane Moore, Leader of Hartlepool Borough Council, said: “During the summer of 2016, Hartlepool Borough Council held a town wide conversation called Your Say, Our Future and what we heard was used to inform the preparation of our Council Plan 2017 - 2020.

“Residents told us many things which we have since achieved on their behalf and you can find out more by visiting www.hartlepool.gov.uk/you-said-we-did

“We are now looking to prepare our next Council Plan to cover the period 2020 - 2023 and we are keen to hear from as many residents, businesses, children and young people as possible.”

Gill Alexander, Chief Executive of Hartlepool Borough Council, added: “These informal drop-in sessions are a great opportunity for us to ask people what is going well, what needs to improve and how we as a Council can work together with residents and partner organisations to make further improvements.

“This is an exciting time for Hartlepool as we continue to shape a brighter future for the borough and I would encourage people to take this opportunity to help shape our plans for the future.”

Consultation on our new Council Plan runs until Friday 11 October and you can also have your say online by visiting www.hartlepool.gov.uk/council-plan
