Build back strength at ‘Back to Health’ course

Those suffering back pain shouldn’t hesitate in signing up to a new course focused on back care.

The ten week ‘Back to Health’ course will begin on Tuesday 15th October from 10am until 11am at The Studio, Mill House Leisure Centre.

Each week participants will be talked through a range of tailored movements to learn and repeat at home, whilst also receiving peer-group support, handouts, postural information and an educational booklet to take away.

Gavin Painter, Hartlepool Borough Council’s Lifestyle Intervention Officer, said: “This course is extremely valuable to anyone who suffers any type of back pain, whether mild or severe.

“Back care and back pain is a different experience for each individual, and we have kept course spaces limited so that we are able to offer each individual tailored one-to-one support on how best to manage their own condition long-term.

“We’d encourage anyone interested to get in touch sooner rather than later to avoid disappointment.”

The ten week course costs just £3 per session (casual), £2.50 (Active card holders) or £2.10 (concession).

Course places are limited. To book onto the course or find out more information, please contact the Participation team on 01429 284363.
