Residents invited to see democracy in action

Hartlepool Borough Council’s next meeting of the Full Council takes place this week.

The meeting – which is open to the public with seating available on a first-come, first-served basis – will be held at the Civic Centre on Thursday 31 October at 7pm.

Full Council is a meeting of all Hartlepool’s 33 Councillors and is chaired by Councillor Brenda Loynes, the Ceremonial Mayor of Hartlepool.

Gill Alexander – Chief Executive of Hartlepool Borough Council – said: “We welcome residents to join us at our Council meetings so that they can see democracy in action.

“Council meetings are interesting experiences and allow Hartlepool residents to see topics that affect them in their daily lives.”

The Council Chamber at Civic Centre has a comfortable public gallery where seating is available on a first-come, first served basis.
