Help shape the future!
Published Monday, 10th February 2020Residents of Hartlepool are being urged to have their say on a blueprint for the future of the Borough.
Hartlepool Borough Council has launched a new round of consultation following the preparation of a draft Council Plan covering the period 2020-2023.
The draft plan has been produced following a previous period of consultation carried out in autumn last year which asked people, businesses and partner organisations what was going well in the Borough of Hartlepool and what they loved about the area, what needed to improve and how the Council, residents and other partners could work together to make a difference.
It sets out the Council’s strategic priorities - including growing a diverse economy, attracting investment, creating a clean, green and safe Hartlepool, improving the health and wellbeing of local people and providing homes that people want to live in – and how these will be delivered.
Gill Alexander, the Council’s Chief Executive, said: “The draft plan aims to build on what has already been achieved by the 2017-2020 Council Plan, and it also responds to what people told us during the last period of consultation and reflects the strategic needs that we have identified for the town.
“We are now keen to find out what people think. In particular, we want to know if they agree with the priorities that have been identified, is there anything that they think is missing and how can the Council work with residents and partners to deliver our priorities.”
