CORONAVIRUS: Mobile testing site to come to Hartlepool

Published Tuesday, 12th May 2020

A mobile testing site for Coronavirus will be set up in Hartlepool this week for two days.

Testing will take place at the National Museum of the Royal Navy site on Wednesday 13 and Thursday 14 May.

This will be a drive-through testing site for pre-booked appointments only - anyone turning up without an appointment will not be tested.

There will be no access to the wider site, except to those with an appointment.

The Government has rolled out a full COVID-19 testing programme and you can find out more at www.gov.uk/coronavirus

A Hartlepool Borough Council spokesperson said: “Although Coronavirus testing is coordinated by the Government’s Department of Health and Social Care, we wanted to advise residents and businesses across Hartlepool that this site will be operational.

“We also want to encourage people not to turn up without an appointment as this will lead to disappointment.

“The easiest way to apply for a test is to enter your details on the www.gov.uk/coronavirus website.”
