Add some strings to your bow with these winter courses

There’s a wide range of interesting courses on offer from Hartlepool Learning and Skills Service (HLSS) – and you can book them all easily online.

Bookkeeping, English, ICT, First Aid, Crafts and Family Learning are just some of the courses on offer. Training is available at HLSS’s COVID-safe Hartlepool study centre and there are also lots of distance learning options too.

Rated by Ofsted as a Good Provider with excellent features, HLSS is the only service in the country to hold the Investors in Volunteering, Investors in Careers, Matrix Standard, Investors in People (Silver Award) and the Better Health at Work (Silver Award) standards.

HLSS works closely with businesses to support them in areas such as employee and apprentice recruitment and workforce development.

The service also offers much more than courses, including an impartial careers service, a pastoral support team, health and wellbeing activities and employment initiatives.

Jayne Anderson, HLSS Training Manager, said: “As the Coronavirus situation continues and the winter months draw in, learning a new skill and gaining a new qualification could be just the boost you need, whether it’s to broaden your personal horizons or to improve specific employment skills.

“We have a team of friendly, professional and dedicated staff who will support you to achieve your learning and career goals, as you study at either our learning centre – where rigorous COVID safety measures are in place - or from your own home.”
