COVID-19 financial support announced for Hartlepool pubs

Published Tuesday, 15th December 2020

Pubs in Hartlepool are being invited to apply for financial assistance of £1,000.

The support is being provided by the Government through the Christmas Support Payment for Wet-Led Pubs (CSP) Scheme which is being administered locally by Hartlepool Borough Council.

A wet-led pub is defined as one that derives less than 50% of its income from sales of food, however, the Council is also offering support to “dry” pubs meeting an eligibility criteria.

Eligible businesses can receive a support payment even if they are already in receipt of Local Restrictions Support Grants (closed or open) or Additional Restrictions Grant.

The scheme will close on 29 December 2020. Final applications must be received no later than 31 January 2021.

Further information about the scheme, including the eligibility criteria and conditions, is available at www.hartlepool.gov.uk/wet-pubs-support or by emailing businessrates@hartlepool.gov.uk
