An important message of thanks

A further message of thanks from Hartlepool Borough Council and school leaders across the Borough.

“On behalf of Children’s Services and all school leaders, we would like to thank all of those families who are doing everything they can to keep our schools a safe place for the children and young people who still need to go into school.

“We really appreciate the efforts families have made to reduce their contacts as much as possible, through adhering to the strict government guidance on support bubbles and only using these where absolutely needed.

“We know that isolation is hard, for those who have tested positive for COVID-19 as well as their close contacts, but this is the one thing we can all do that will help us fight the virus in Hartlepool.

“If you or a member of your household has, or thinks they may have, COVID, please do not send your child to school until you have received the results of a test.  Where the test is positive, it is a legal requirement for the individual, all members of the household and any close contacts to isolate for 10 days.

“This is so tough for our children and young people, not being able to go out to play or see their family and friends, but it is really important that we support our children to follow these rules and we know that so many of you are doing this.

“Thank you for all your help and support and please remember – if in doubt, don’t go out.”
