An exciting programme of free activities for children and young people in Hartlepool over the Easter holidays is under way.

Comic book illustration, Hip Hop, archaeology, cookery demonstrations, pop and choc art, languages, Mumba, Zumba and Yoga, making music with household equipment, mindfulness, exploring art outdoors, healthy life activities for young adults, boosting your wellbeing, stories and rhymes for the under-fives, arts and crafts, discovering more about local museum items, Funky Feet for Early Years and a Disney Trail are just some of what's on offer.

It’s part of Hartlepool Holiday Fun – a new project which will be providing activities for children and young people in Hartlepool over this year’s Easter, summer and Christmas school holidays.

It’s organised by Hartlepool Borough Council with support from schools and local organisations and is funded by the Department for Education.

Due to the current COVID restrictions, most of the Easter events will be online, as well as on local television channel Teesside TV.

Sally Robinson, the Council’s Director of Children’s and Joint Commissioning Services, said: “We’ve lined up a packed and varied programme for all ages to enjoy over the Easter break, from toddlers right up to teenagers.

“As well as being lots of fun, we hope it will spark new interests for them and broaden their horizons even more.”
