An online networking event is to be held to give businesswomen in Hartlepool the chance to share ideas and experience with others.

It will take place on Thursday May 13th from 10-11am and is being organised by Assist, a Tees Valley-based organisation that supports women in business to grow professionally through a strong network of like-minded women

The free event is to be jointly hosted by Caron Auckland, Hartlepool Borough Council’s Enterprise Manager, and Lyndsay Hogg from Hogg Global Logistics Ltd, an award-winning international freight-forwarding company.

Caron who has almost 20 years’ experience working in economic development with the Council, said: “This is an opportunity for businesswomen to share ideas, experience and vision in a totally relaxed and informal way

“It is also a chance for them to take some time away from the isolation of homeworking and meet others to talk business. It may be that you are looking for new contracts or have a product or service that you want to showcase.

“We are particularly keen to promote the “trade local” ideology.”

During the event, participants will be given the opportunity to meet in smaller groups to discuss specific topics in a number of virtual “breakout rooms”.
