Have a great bank holiday weekend – but please stay safe

As we head towards the bank holiday weekend, residents of Hartlepool are being reminded to please stay COVID-safe and not take any risks.

Craig Blundred, Hartlepool Borough Council’s Director of Public Health, said: “I hope everyone has a lovely weekend and enjoys some well-earned relaxation, but please stick to the rules because COVID is still out there.

“In particular, if you’re travelling, please plan ahead and travel safely, and if you’re using public transport don’t forget to wear a face covering unless you’re exempt.

“If you’re having a get-together indoors, please stick to a group of six or two households and remember to open a window to let fresh air in.

“And if you’re out and about visiting an attraction or enjoying a meal, please follow the arrangements which the venue has put in place to keep you and their staff safe.

“And of course, whatever you plan to do, don’t forget - HANDS, FACE, SPACE and FRESH AIR.

“Have a nice weekend!”
