Council encourages residents to book in advance as in-person meetings return

Hartlepool Borough Council is asking residents to book in advance if they wish to attend a Council meeting.

A small number of members of the public will be able attend meetings to enable social distancing to be maintained at all times.

Spaces will be available on a first come, first served basis – but must be booked by noon on the working day before the meeting.

Those wishing to attend a meeting should phone (01429) 523019 and name and address details will be taken for NHS Test and Trace.

Denise McGuckin, Hartlepool Borough Council Managing Director, said: “With social distancing guidelines still being in place, we can’t allow as many people to attend meetings as previously.

“I’d therefore encourage people to book as early as possible to avoid disappointment.”
