Council reminding residents to book in advance for meetings

Hartlepool Borough Council is reminding residents to book in advance if they wish to attend a Council meeting.

A small number of members of the public are currently able to attend meetings to enable social distancing to be maintained.

Spaces are available on a first come, first served basis – but must be booked by noon on the working day before the meeting.

Those wishing to attend a meeting should phone (01429) 523019 and name and address details will be taken for NHS Test and Trace.

This week – on Thursday 8 July – a Full Council meeting will be held at Hartlepool Borough Hall at 6pm.

You can find out about all upcoming meetings via the Council’s website by clicking here.

Denise McGuckin, Hartlepool Borough Council Managing Director, said: “With social distancing guidelines still being in place, we can’t allow as many people to attend meetings as previously.

“I’d therefore encourage people to book as early as possible to avoid disappointment.”
