Published Tuesday, 30th November 2021

If you’re searching for some unusual festive gift ideas, make tracks to the Christmas Craft Fayre in Hartlepool Art Gallery in Church Square on Saturday 4th December from 10am to 3pm.

There will be a range of local craftmakers selling items including handcrafted jewellery, handmade gifts, art and illustrations plus local produce.

The Christmas Craft Fayre has been organised by Hartlepool Borough Council’s Economic Growth Team to mark Small Business Saturday – a national event which celebrates, and helps people discover, small businesses.

Councillor Paddy Brown, Chair of Hartlepool Borough Council’s Economic Growth and Regeneration Committee, said: “This is a great way for people of all ages to get into the festive spirit and solve some of their Christmas present problems too.

“Small businesses are a cornerstone of the Hartlepool economy and the Council is committed to doing everything it can to help them flourish and grow, especially after the very severe impact of the Covid pandemic.

“We’re delighted to be part of Small Business Saturday and I hope people will come along and support this great event.”

People attending this event are asked to please ensure that they wear a face mask, in accordance with the new national rules.
