Businesses of all sizes are being invited to get involved in Tall Ships Hartlepool 2023 by signing up for sponsorship and corporate hospitality packages

Event organiser Hartlepool Borough Council is offering three different levels of sponsorship – Main Sponsor, Feature Sponsor and Business Community Supporter – and these can tailored to suit individual businesses’ needs.

Similarly, a number of bespoke corporate hospitality packages are available, including having use of a quayside private tall ship to entertain staff and clients.

Councillor Shane Moore, Leader of the Council, said: “Excitement is building around the return of this prestigious, world famous event which is expected to attract hundreds of thousands of visitors from 6th-9th July. We want to position local businesses at its heart, so that they are able to share the benefits that it will bring to the town as the biggest free family event to be staged in the north of England this year.

“When developing our sponsorship and corporate hospitality offer, we felt it was important not to rely on a one-size-fits-all package, but to provide a range of opportunities that reflect individual businesses’ values and offer a good connection between their business focus and the various themes of Tall Ships Hartlepool 2023 which, amongst others, include youth, adventure, international friendship and sustainability.”

Tees Valley Mayor Ben Houchen added: “Tall Ships is set to return later this year, bigger and better than ever. It will see people from across Teesside, Darlington and Hartlepool - and beyond - visit the town to spend in our shops, cafes and restaurants during an event that we’re delighted to support.

“These sponsorship packages are an excellent way for our brilliant local businesses to back the event too and get their names out to thousands of people from far and wide, showing the best our region has to offer. There are also a range of great hospitality packages to take advantage of, to make the Tall Ships even more special. If you’re a business looking to impress or advertise, look no further.”

Details of the sponsorship packages are as follows:

  • Main Sponsors (from £50,000 + VAT) – as one of up to four main sponsors, you will connect directly with three of the key themes of the event – youth, international friendship and adventure. You will directly sponsor four local young people to take part in the race. You will also be assigned your own Class A Tall Ship for deck parties, PR opportunities and special events and your logo will be included on all relevant material prior to and during the event, including with the event advertising campaign.
  • Feature Sponsor (from £25,000 + VAT) – your brand will feature on a selection of segments of the digital marketing campaign. Talk to us now about the Volunteer Programme, the Sail Trainee Programme, the Crew Parade, two separate entertainment stages and the Sustainability Programme.
